SNOWY MOUNTAINS – WINERIES, BREWERS AND DISTILLERS

TASTE HIGH COUNTRY WINES
The Snowy Mountain’s Tumbarumba Wine Region is south of both the Southern Highlands and Canberra Regions.
The region is famous for elegant cool climate wines with the main varieties being pinot noir and chardonnay. Most of these grapes become sparklings however both varieties are used to produce still wine when conditions are right and they should not be overlooked.
We recommend taking a close look at the region’s award-winning sparkling wines as we think they are underrated. As a suggestion taste Courabyra’s NV Brut, a blend is 50/50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that has a lovely dry finish and especially Coppabella Wines Cuvee Prestige NV an outstanding blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay producing a superb wine with a vibrant, long and complex finish.
Cheers!
