Picture perfect country town.
Gundagai is a classic Australian country town situated on the Murrumbidgee River between Sydney and Melbourne, in one of the most picturesque rural areas of the Riverina, in southern New South Wales.
Gundagai is an hour and a half drive from Canberra, four hours from Sydney and five hours from Melbourne.
You will enjoy the tranquillity of the Murrumbidgee River and the impressive timber bridges that span the river flats on the Gundagai River Walk.
We highly recommend a stroll around the town so that you can admire the historic architecture on the Gundagai Built Heritage Walk and explore Gundagai Museum, Railway Museum and the Gabriel Gallery Collections.
We recommend that your first port of call should be the Visitor Information Centre for all the local information that you will ever need.
