MUDGEE RESTAURANT AND CAFE GUIDE™

Mudgee Visitor & Travel Guide

Mudgee Restaurant and Cafe Guide

There are people who will tell you that Mudgee has more restaurants per capita than most towns Country NSW, and they’re completely wrong, so you can ignore that urban myth. But if they tell you this little town has restaurants and cafes punching way above their weight, I’ll get behind that statement seven days a week and twice on Sundays. When I moved from Sydney to Mudgee in 2016, I worried I’d get stuck with small-town food after life in the big city. How wrong I was. Instead, I got blown away by the quality of the dining scene. I love the way it’s all about using local ingredients, celebrating diversity and pairing with local wines. Yum Mudgee!

Mudgee Restaurants and Foods

Oh for the fresh, local produce of the Mudgee region - taste the difference! This is real food, It has the taste. It has texture. It is titillating to the senses.
You don't need a special occasion to visit one of the local restaurants, cafes or food producers. Experiencing the local characters, the evocative surroundings and the wonderful food are occasions enough.
Of course, if you do have a special occasion to celebrate you'll find a great venue, fantastic menus and gastronomic treasures in abundance.

Orange Visitor & Travel Guide

ORANGE CAFES AND COFFEE SHOPS

Most of us can't miss a day without a good cup of coffee. Luckily, in Orange city and in the region, there are a plethora of amazing cafes. Some have recently opened, and there are many more on the horizon and the best of the original pioneers just get better. As always the quality varies and in most cases as you know, depends upon the attitude of the owner or the barister. Overall the quality around Orange is high and once a good place is found the customers are very loyal. But heaven forbid a bad barister day. Usually all is not forgotten and people quickly move on. So keep an eye out for lots of customers, obvious regulars and a good vibe. Slick decor is not always an indicator of good coffee either. Even industrial chic or rural rustic cannot overcome poor service, cold coffee and no smiles. There are some gems, some big and some small doing great things and it's great fun finding them and encouraging them with you repeat business.  So coffee lovers take the time explore Orange's diverse coffee venues and enjoy!
