ORANGE HOSPITAL ART GALLERY

Orange's healthy "secret" art gallery

There is a little known art gallery in Orange that has an ever-changing display of about 200 works. It is display on the walls throughout at the modern Orange Hospital and is a collaboration between Orange Health Service and the Orange regional Gallery.

The collection includes paintings by highly-regarded artists, including  Brett Whiteley.

Importantly, the gallery inspires patients, families and staff members and it has been praised for its innovation of having a major public art collection being shown at a hospital. It is estimated that over 200,000 people have benefited by seeing the artworks since the hospital's opening in 2011.
